Zoom wants to be the Airbnb of online events – The Australian Financial Review
Zoom subscribers can now host and charge money for virtual events through the platform, as the it looks to monetise its pandemic era rise in corporate events.

Michael Chetner, Zoom’s head of Australia and Asia Pacific, said until the end of 2020, Zoom would not take a cut of the ticket sales from event organisers’ revenue. But that is likely to change early next year when Zoom will announce a pricing plan.
Event types will be vetted according to Zoom’s existing acceptable use policy, which forbids pornographic content or anything that reflects hatred against others based on race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, gender or sexual orientation.
