Ausgrid announces job cuts, 230 workers to go

Electricity provider Ausgrid has announced it will cull 230 jobs as part of its plan to downsize its workforce by 2024.The jobs will affect management and back office roles and will be implemented by January, Ausgrid said today.
“This is a really tough decision, and one that we don’t make lightly,” Ausgrid chief executive Richard Gross said in a statement.
“We have challenges to face financially, and we have been open and upfront about that for nearly two years.”
