Uniti’s is understood to have stuck to its cash and scrip approach.
OptiComm is expected to announce the developments on Thursday. The company’s shares last traded at $6.52.
Uniti’s higher offer is another escalation in a surprising bidder war between itself, a strategic investor, and $130 billion industry superannuation fund Aware Super.
Uniti was set to acquire OptiComm in September, before Aware made a higher all-cash offer just prior to a scheduled scheme vote.
