Cheshire West and Chester’s coronavirus infection rate has increased by almost 70 per cent in the latest seven-day reporting period, new data shows.
The weekly rate of positive cases per 100,000 people across the borough has increased from 70.2 on September 26 to 119.2 on October 2 – a rise of 69.8 per cent – with many other areas across the UK also reporting considerable growth in case numbers.
