Johnson & Johnson to pay $140m over baby powder lawsuits
The worlds largest maker of health care products will have to pay more than $140 million to settle lawsuits over claims its baby powder caused cancer, according to a report.Johnson & Johnson has agreed to the whopping payout to resolve more than 1000 lawsuits after four years of litigation, reports Bloomberg.
In 2017, the company was ordered to pay $148 million to a woman who said she developed ovarian cancer after 40 years of using its talc-based products for feminine hygiene.
