Manchester’s coronavirus infection rate hits sky-high 500 cases – Wales Online
It comes after a government IT glitch meant thousands of test results had been missed out of the figures

The UK’s coronavirus hotspot is now Manchester city itself new data has revealed.
Figures released by Public Health England show the 7-day rate in Manchester has reached 495.6 cases per 100,000 population for the week ending on October 1.
This is compared to Rhondda Cynon Taf which currently has the highest rate of infections in Wales with 179.1 cases per 100,000 people based on a rolling seven-day average, up from 175.7 on Saturday. Merthyr Tydfil closely follows this figure at 179.0 per 100…
