Man dies after motorcycle crashes into tree
A man has died following a fatal motorcycle crash west of the Gold Coast.
The 40-year-old Beaudesert man was travelling along Baroona Rathdowney Rd in Maroon when his motorcycle left the roadway and crashed into a tree just after 9am.
Emergency services provided first aid to the man but he passed away at the scene.
Traffic was diverted off Boonah Rathdowney Rd following the accident.
The Forensic Crash Unit are continuing their investigations.
