Labor announces $77M spend on police gear
More cars, body worn cameras and brand new ballistic vests are in the pipeline for Queensland Police in a $77 million announcement for desperately-needed equipment.
Police Minister Mark Ryan announced the equipment rollout on Saturday morning during a visit to Coomera Police Station on the Gold Coast.
His announcement comes amid swipes between Labor and the State Opposition over police resourcing in recent weeks.
