Man dead after serious motorcycle crash on Gillies Range Rd
A motorcyclist has died after a serious crash on a major highway in Far North Queensland.
Paramedics were called to the crash at Gillies Range Rd, near Cairns, at 7.45am on Saturday morning after the motorcycle left the roadway.
A Queensland Police spokesman said the Cairns man, who was in his 40s, was treated by emergency services but died from his injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is continuing their investigation.
