Anna Palmer announces Qld election bid

Anna Palmer has made a surprise bid to follow her billionaire husband Clive into politics, announcing she will contest a marginal Gold Coast seat at the October 31 Queensland election.
Mrs Palmer has been officially endorsed by the United Australia Party for the seat of Currumbin, held by LNP MP Laura Gerber who beat Labor’s Kaylee Campradt with a 3.3 per cent margin in a March by-election.
