Pat Cummins slaughtered in IPL return after Kolkata Knight Riders forked out $3.1m

Australian paceman Pat Cummins failed to justify his multimillion-dollar Indian Premier League contract with the ball during his first match of the tournament on Thursday morning (AEST).The Kolkata Knight Riders purchased Cummins for a record-breaking $3.1 million sum at last year’s IPL Auction.
If the 26-year-old sends down four overs in all 14 matches of the group stage, he is poised to make $9226 for every delivery in the six-week tournament.
