US President Donald Trump said he wants to see faster testing for potential vaccines despite concerns by Congress and medical experts.
A handful of vaccines already are in the final testing phase in the US and other countries, but the newest late-stage study by Johnson & Johnson aims to enrol 60,000 volunteers, one of the biggest so far, to prove if its single-dose approach is safe and protects against the coronavirus. Other candidates in the US require two shots.
