Victoria dents Australia’s monthly retail turnover figures
The damage caused by stage 4 restriction in Melbourne has been revealed, with the countrys retail trading conditions taking a hit from the August second wave lockdown. Retail turnover figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics show from July to August trading fell 4.6 per cent nationally, fuelled by stringent lockdowns in Victoria which is the country’s second largest regional economy.
