Missing Fraser Island walker found alive after three nights in wilderness
An elderly woman has been reunited with her husband after spending three nights lost in dense scrub on Fraser Island.
Madeleine Nowak, 73, was on Sunday found safe and well after an extensive search effort.
Pictures showed the moment she was reunited with her husband after she came across a camp site.
“The search effort involved a number of personnel from National Parks and Wildlife, State Emergency Service and LifeFlight,” Queensland Police said.
