AFL player Shaun Smith secures landmark $1.4 million insurance payout

Former AFL player Shaun Smith has received an insurance payout of $1.4 million because of repeated head knocks during his career.Smith, who played for North Melbourne and Melbourne during the late 1980s and 1990s, has suffered from mental health issues he believes are related to a series of concussions suffered during his time playing professional footy.
