Woman missing on Great Walk trail, Fraser Island
A helicopter and trail bikes have been deployed in the search for a 73-year-old hiker who has been missing for more than 24 hours in dense scrub land on Fraser Island.
The woman became detached from a group of walkers along the Great Walk around 3pm on Thursday although her travelling companions did not raise the alarm until after dark, acting Patrol Inspector Brook Flood said.
