This drug can reduce the risk of death from COVID-19 in extreme cases – World Economic Forum
Risk of death after 28 days was 32% for those treated with corticosteroids. For those receiving usual care or a placebo, the risk was 40%.
- When severely ill COVID-19 patients are treated with corticosteroids such as dexamethasone, their survival rates increase, according to the WHO.
