Virgin Australia: More job cuts expected as Bain Capital takes over

Hundreds more jobs at Virgin Australia are facing the axe as the airline warned staff ongoing state border closures were hampering its recovery under new owner Bain Capital. Staff were told in a note from Virgin Australia chief executive Paul Scurrah on Monday at least 150 jobs would likely be made redundant as Virgin continued to reel from the “worst crisis” the airline industry has faced due to COVID-19.
