400 and out: History-making Hawk Shaun Burgoyne’s retirement plan revealed – Fox Sports
Hawthorn legend Shaun Burgoyne will play his 20th and final season in 2021, with the club announcing he’ll step into an advisory role at the club after his retirement.

The decision leaves it all but certain the 37-year-old will become just the fifth player in league history to play at least 400 games at the highest level, joining Brent Harvey (432), Michael Tuck (426), Kevin Bartlett (403) and Dustin Fletcher (400).
Burgoynes final year will be his 12th for Hawthorn, after a 157-game, nine-year stint with Port Adelaide, including their 2004 premiership year.
