Android phone apps, including emoji app, among those with Joker malware – 7NEWS.com.au
A batch of apps has been found to be infected with a malware which steals from users right under their noses.
Malware which can steal money from users has been found hidden in six Android apps.
Cyber security company Pradeo has identified the new batch of apps infected with Joker malware.
The malware obtains money from users by signing them up to paid subscriptions without their knowledge or consent.
The apps are Safety AppLock, Convenient Scanner 2, Push Message-Texting&SMS, Emoji Wallpaper, Separate Doc Scanner and Fingertip GameBox.
