A WA nurse who was among a group of volunteers sent to help Victorias response to the pandemic has contracted COVID-19, forcing the entire group to go into isolation.
WA Health Minister Roger Cook said 19 “selfless” volunteers had travelled to Melbourne to work in aged care facilities after Victoria’s Department of Health and Human Services urgently requested healthcare workers.
“On Sunday, the seven members of one of those teams were all tested for COVID-19,” he told reporters on Tuesday.
