ICA Partners, Allens help First State storm OptiComm – The Australian Financial Review
Ambitious superannuation fund First State Super has made an 11th-hour play for telecommunications networks company OptiComm.
However, First State does have form in the telecommunications infrastructure sector. It did well investing in smaller Australian fibre optic network provider LBNCo that, ironically, was sold to rival OptiComm bidder Uniti last year.
First State owned its LBNCo stake via a consortium headed by Sydney-based investment manager ROC Partners.
