Moreton Bay mum jailed for 5.5 years for torturing her kids
A mother who tortured her three children by hitting, beating and starving them over seven months will only spend a year-and-a-half behind bars.
The mother, who cannot be named for legal reasons, spent the night in custody after her harrowing actions against the children were laid out in Brisbane District Court on Monday.
