A young girl has developed a huge bald patch on her head one week after her family adopted a cat.
A young girl has developed a huge bald patch on her head one week after her family adopted a cat.
The family, from the city of Shenzhen in the south-eastern Chinese province of Guangdong, bought the feline for the child on May 1.
However, the youngster started losing her hair just a week later.
According to the news site Toutiao, the cat infected the girl with tinea capitis, a fungal infection of the scalp also known as scalp ringworm.
