Essendon has copped a fresh injury blow, with young recruit Jye Caldwell re-injuring his hamstring.
Caldwell suffered a serious hamstring tear in the Bombers Round 2 loss to Port Adelaide that Essendon medicos diagnosed as a 6-8 week injury.
But the former Giant, who was traded to the Bombers late in last years exchange period, is now facing an even longer stint on the sidelines after a training mishap.
