For the Twitterati, it’s just a given. Either Tanya Plibersek or Penny Wong is the righful prime minister.
The Twitterati — being the Twitterati — ignore a few fundamental facts: Wong is in the Senate, both her and Plibersek would have to become Labor leader, then win over the public and election and, most of all, there can be a marked difference between the public and private Plibersek.
Plibersek has a public persona as the yummy mummy of Australian politics; caring, polished, professional and with a bit of spark.
In private, however, that spark can be more like a flamethrower — or a slow burn.
Plibersek let that side slip on Sky on Sunday, when she denounced Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
