And with school holidays fast approaching, the Queensland Building and Construction Commission has put pool owners on notice.QBCC Commissioner, Brett Bassett, said it was a sad fact that every summer brought tragic news for some families.This year already Queensland Health has reported 83 incidents where a child has needed medical attention because of immersion in a pool.“Drowning is silent, and supervision is key for protecting children in and around pools,” MrBassett said.
