Work to start on long-awaited Coast surf club

Bokarina residents had been pleading for the installation of a lifeguard service on the “dangerous” 9km stretch since a new beach access was opened to connect to a Stockland residential development in August 2019.
The Bokarina Beach lifeguard tower opened last year however the area is only staffed on weekends, public holidays and Queensland school holidays from September to May.
But Surf Life Saving Queensland has now applied to Sunshine Coast Council for approval to build an interim club…
