It’s the secret ingredient to every nan’s banana bread – soft, spotty, overripe bananas – and now Woolworths has borrowed the recipe.
Today, the supermarket giant has revealed that it will use unsold bananas from the produce section in the bakery’s new banana bread.
The discarded bananas will make their way into two new products: a store-baked banana bread and a banana bread with Cadbury chocolate chips.
