Woman who killed Queensland teen in hit-and-run learns prison appeal outcome

A Queensland woman who fled the scene after fatally running over a promising junior rugby league player has had her jail sentence slashed on appeal.
Jessica May Goulding, 30, was jailed last year for three years after the crash which killed 15-year-old Nilly Mooney at Beaconsfield in Mackay in March 2020.
Goulding was driving a black Commodore which fatally hit Mooney, who was in the middle of a street looking for her phone while walking home from a party in the early hours of the morning.
