Woman dies after a car and bus crash in Parramatta

A woman has died in a car crash in Sydney’s west.
Police were called to Argyle Street in Parramatta at about 8am this morning after a bus and a car collided.
The passenger in the car’s front seat, a woman in her 40s, was unable to be freed and died at the scene.
There were no passengers on the bus at the time.
The driver of the sedan, a man believed to be in his 40s, and the male bus driver have been taken to Westmead Hospital with minor injuries and for mandatory testing.
Argyle Street was closed between O’Connell and Pitt streets, and diversions have been put in place.
Motorists have been warned to expect traffic delays.
The incident is under investigation by officers from the Crash Investigation Unit and Parramatta police.
