Winning jockey weighs in light at Sale – Punters
There was an unwanted ‘weighed in light’ fiasco on the winner that absolute trotted in at Sale on Sunday, which resulted in the winner’s disqualification.
Excelman ($2.90) was disqualified from a dominant win at Sale after it emerged jockey Michael Walker weighed in light.The Richard Laming-trained galloper picked them up and put the field away with ease in the Benchmark 64 over 1400m, winning by a tick over three lengths.
But it later emerged that Walker weighed in 1kg light, which resulted in the 4YO gelding’s disqualification.
