The theory went without regular exposure to Kiwi sides Australian rugby would go south. It has gone north, and Super Rugby AU should be part of the new normal.

Yet, its the fact that we can enjoy the Reds-Brumbies game as a standalone contest, without fretting about what it means in a broader trans-Tasman context, that makes it appealing.
There are match-ups all over the paddock but three in particular intrigue me: Hamish Stewart v Irae Simone (of the Brumbies best in the past two weeks) at No 12; Angus Scott-Young v Rob Valetini at No 6; and Jock Campbell v Tom Wright on the wing.
