Pre-commitment cards touted by the Victorian government and Crown Melbourne as a measure against problem gambling are being set with a loss limit of $1 million per day and used to unlock poker machines at the casino that can burn cash faster than regular pokies.
The cards are part of the Victorian governments $197 million YourPlay scheme, active at venues across the state since 2015, which lets players nominate a time and loss limit for poker machine play.
