WIDDOP’S CHANCE AT NRL COMEBACK DASHED
Gareth Widdops hopes of returning to the NRL this season appear to be over after the playmaker returned to the UK.
Widdops representatives had reportedly been trying to secure an NRL comeback to be closer to family.
He would have needed to take a pay cut though and The Daily Telegraph reports he cut his asking price to $300,000 with several NRL clubs, including the Sydney Roosters, interested.
