Why Victoria’s new coronavirus lockdown isn’t like the last one – 7NEWS.com.au
There are just four reasons you’ll be able to leave your home in Melbourne and some of the rules have been changed.

Melbourne is due to go back into a Stage Three lockdown after Victoria recorded the biggest single day of new coronavirus cases yet.
The six-week lockdown is set to come into place at midnight on Wednesday, forcing Melbourne back into uncertain territory in its battle against the pandemic.

The move comes just hours after Premier Daniel Andrews announced a jump in 191 cases in just a single day.
The lockdown will apply to all of metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire, a downcast Andrews announced to his state on Tuesday.
At this point, restrictions are not due to change in regional Victoria because of their low case numbers.
There are just four reasons people will be able to leave their place of residence in the affected areas.
These include shopping for food and essential items, care and caregiving, daily exercise, work and study – if you cant do it from home.
While the lockdown looks mostly the same as the one the state previously faced, there are some notable changes.
Theres a couple of differences to the stay at home order this time as compared to last time, Andrews said.
You will be able to go out to go to work if you have to, to go shopping for the things you need when you need them, to study, to provide care or to get care.
People are (ok) with those rules.
He then announced that daily exercise would be treated differently.
You cant leave metropolitan Melbourne to get your daily exercise, Andrews revealed.
Theres a number of now, on the advice of the chief health officer, very low public health risk activities that will be permitted that were not permitted last time.
Fishing and golf will now be allowed in the metropolitan areas, something that wasnt allowed in the previous lockdown.

There are stricter rules on where you can travel to exercise including for those looking to go fishing or hiking.
But the most important point to make around exercise is that you cant be going on a four-hour bushwalk hundreds of kilometres away from Melbourne, he said.
You cant be going fishing outside the metropolitan area, down into regional Victoria.
Those in the locked-down areas will also need to stay at their principal place of residence and arent allowed to stay at holiday homes this time.
