Why Queen Elizabeth won’t return to Buckingham Palace this year – 9Honey
Queen Elizabeth is expected to spend the remainder of the year at Windsor Castle instead of Buckingham Palace due to the coronavirus crisis.
Her Majesty, 94, is currently at Balmoral, her Scottish residence, for the British summer and was expected to return to London at the end of August.
Instead, Elizabeth and Prince Philip, 99, will stay at Windsor Castle, a smaller residence requiring less staff and further away from the epicentre of the pandemic in London.
