The series’ spiritual successor Eiyuden Chronicle is a Kickstarter smash. Why are fans so passionate?

To say Eiyuden Chronicles Kickstarter campaign has been successful would be an understatement. Eiyuden presents itself as a spiritual successor to Konamis acclaimed JRPG series Suikoden, reuniting original director Yoshitaka Murayama with several key developers. Launched with a funding goal of just over $500,000, it has now wrapped up with $4.57 million in funding, having hit every one of its stretch goals.
