Compare Fortnite with my favourite game Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2), a Triple-A from the $27 billion Nasdaq-listed company Take 2 Interactive. Two thousand people worked for seven years to develop RDR2 at a cost of perhaps $600 million. Launched with a single-player story and a price exceeding $100, it grossed almost $1 billion in its first weekend thats 25 per cent more than blockbuster movie Avengers: Infinity War.
Its numbers like these that drive valuations into the tens of billions.
