A close-knit family of three who all caught Covid-19 thought they’d overcome the worst of the virus until their 25-year-old daughter died five days after Christmas.
The Jones family, from Tonypandy in the Rhondda, had been so unwell they didn’t even cook the traditional turkey on Christmas Day.
They decided to wait a week before they opened the gifts they had so carefully wrapped for each other and lovingly placed under the family Christmas tree.
