Brisbane Lions spearhead Eric Hipwood has been given a please explain by coach Chris Fagan after one of the more bizarre set shot decisions of the year.
With just over six minutes remaining in the first quarter of a tight contest with Carlton at the Gabba, Hipwood marked the ball on the 50 metre arc, and went back for a set shot.
Looking unsure of himself during the run in, Hipwood veered left at the last minute and kicked the ball out on the full after trying to pass it off, leaving teammates and coach Chris Fagan baffled.
