What schools leavers and high school graduates are anxious about going into 2021

Arki Twyford got early acceptance to study arts at the University of Sydney, but after this year she’s having second thoughts.
Between the uncertainty of employment options and the skyrocketing prices of an arts degree after the Federal Government’s “job-ready” graduate package was introduced, her passion seems less viable than this time last year.
“I’ve always wanted to get into academics, but I know that sector right now is absolutely in shambles,” the Central Coast student said.
She’s now considering social work instead, which she sees as less of a risk, and is far from the only one to reconsider post-high school career.
