We’ve had three shockers but Clarkson is still the man, says Kennett – The Age
Having been ambiguous about Alastair Clarkson’s future as Hawthorn coach in a radio interview on the weekend, Kennett on Monday penned a letter to members declaring Clarkson was “going nowhere”.
He answered those who had raised doubts about whether Clarkson was “the man to turn our performances around”.
“Let me say categorically, he is,” Kennett said in an open letter to members.
“Just about every other club would give their right arm to have Alastair coach their team, but he is not going anywhere. I will remind you that coaches can only do so much, players must be up to the task!”
