West Australian COVID scare as health authorities wait for test results on Fiona Stanley Hospital patient – 7NEWS.com.au
The man recently flew in from America, completed his stay in quarantine and then started showing symptoms.
West Australian health authorities are waiting with bated breath on the test results of a suspected case of coronavirus.
The man recently arrived in Sydney from North America, where he completed his 14 days of hotel quarantine before flying back to Perth.
He tested negative for COVID before leaving quarantine.
However, he presented to the Fiona Stanley Hospital on Saturday where a rapid COVID test returned a very weak positive.
Follow-up testing is now underway to verify his infection.
