Premier Mark McGowan stays reluctant to open WA to quarantine-free travel from Melbourne because of the risk posed by the open border between Victoria and New South…
He had previously said the threshold for WA to consider reopening to another state was 28 days without a community transmission case, however in recent days he clarified reaching that milestone was not an automatic trigger.
Clearly with New South Wales and Victoria you have to be careful, they have an open border between the two of them, they have had some of the worst COVID experiences in Australia, he said.
We just want to make sure were completely sure that its the right time to change the border…
