University Hospitals Birmingham has today cancelled all elective ops this month that are not ‘life critical’

News that all planned operations across Birmingham’s main hospitals are cancelled this month to protect the most critically ill and dying has triggered a wave of concern and anger.
University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust has announced all elective ops due to take place in November at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital will be axed for now.
Gynaecology procedures at Good Hope Hospital will also be postponed.
