With no support network and unis slow to respond, some students have been having a tough time

Living away from home in a new city for the first time aged just 18 is intimidating enough.
Now thousands of students in Manchester are also being asked not to leave the flats they moved into only a matter of weeks ago.
They are confined to their rooms, or shared kitchen and dining areas, with other young people who, in reality, are complete strangers to them.
