Wayne Bennett has been described as “arrogant” by his son-in-law NRL commentator Ben Ikin for failing to show humility and leadership after being caught out breaching the competition’s strict bio-security rules by dining at a Leichhardt restaurant on Wednesday.
Bennett was yesterday stood down by the NRL for two weeks to self-isolate until he can be cleared of COVID-19 after thumbing his nose at the rules he helped create as part of the game’s Project Apollo team.
