On Friday, NASA’s Infrared Telescope Facility (ITF) at the top of Mauna Kea in Hawaii will be pointed at gas giant Jupiter for a unique eclipse event: Ganymede, the solar system’s largest moon, is going to cast a shadow on Jupiter’s shiny, yellowed face.
