Warriors out to end 14-month gap between back to back wins – Stuff.co.nz
Warriors captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck wants the team to build on last weekend’s win over the Broncos.

Not since May 17, 2019 have the Warriors been able to win back to back games in the NRL, but they have a good chance of ending that streak against the Titans on Friday night.
Back in May last year, they defeated the Dragons 26-18 during the Magic Round in Brisbane, then backed that up with an impressive 30-10 win over the Panthers in Penrith.
Since then, the Warriors havent been able to win more than one game in a row, but against a usually woeful Titans team, they have an opportunity to at last go back to back.
A victory would also give them their first win away from Central Coast Stadium this season.

Wed like to think were strong at home and trying to get better away, Warriors captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck said.
Its about each week and trying to find a way to be better.
We did well against the Brisbane Broncos last week (winning 26-16), but theres a new challenge ahead.
Were trying to take it all away about winning at home and losing away and just focus on a good performance.
Tuivasa-Sheck was a spectator for the win at Suncorp Stadium, sitting next to club owner Mark Robinson in the stands and wearing a fetching pair of glasses.
The Warriors had their best game of the season when defeating the Broncos 26-16 last Saturday.
The 27-year-old enjoyed the victory as much as any Warriors fan and was delighted by the effort the players put in.
The boys showed a lot of resilience, he said.
I put it down to the way they had a few things against them. Kenny (Maumalo) had a few errors in that corner, a few intercepts there. Peta (Hiku) dropped a bomb and there were a few errors.
But just the way they held together and at the end of it, Ken had a great game and Peta came up with the goods as well. Boys like that just stuck at it and performed really well.
The win over the Broncos could be regarded as a turning of the corner moment for the Warriors.
Hooker Wayde Egan talked afterwards about the club even making it to the top eight.
That may still be a way off, but after months of off-field issues, highlighted by being away from families and Stephen Kearneys sacking, theres a spring back in the players steps.
Interim coach Todd Payten has done a superb job at getting the players focused.
The Titans were thrashed 40-10 by the Sharks last weekend.
He wouldnt accept the team just limping through the rest of the season, with nothing to pay for other than their pay slips each week.
The last couple of weeks definitely werent the easiest, Tuivasa-Sheck said.
We were unlucky with a lot of things, but the way Todd put it how it is, he made it real.
The things that have happened to us are done, so now its about adapting and getting on with it.
Be tough about it, lets not use any excuse against us, lets face the reality and go forward form here.
Meanwhile, prop Jamayne Taunoa-Brown has had his Warriors contract further extended to the end of the 2022 NRL season.
The 23-year-old was signed on a full-time contract just before the 2020 campaign began, having impressed the coaches over the preseason.
He has played in every match this season and like the other young players whove been impressive, Eliesa Katoa and Jack Murchie, hehas signed a long-term deal.
Jamayne has been awesome, Tuivasa-Sheck said.
He came on a train and trial contract from early this year.
He put his foot forward and has been training hard to almost get a starting spot.
Now hes re-signed, its a credit to him for the hard work hes put in and Ive seen good things. I see a good future for him.
